CANDY CANES

Buon pomeriggio,
... ecco qualche foto dei miei bastoncini canditi che ho prodotto in serie e alcuni alberelli di Natale da appendere. Visto che siamo già all'ultima settimana di Novembre, sto già iniziando ad addobbare casa. Presto pubblicherò anche qualche foto delle varie decorazioni.

... here I am with some pictures of my candy canes that I made in series and some Christmas trees to be hung. As it is already the last week of November, I am starting decorating my home for Christmas. I will post also some pictures of my various decorations soon.

ETICHETTE

Buon pomeriggio a tutti! 

Una quindicina di giorni fa ho fatto definitivamente il cambio degli armadi... :-((( 

Visto che gli indumenti della stagione terminata li ripongo in scatole, e visto che c'è sempre il problema di ciò che c'è dentro in questa o quella scatola, ho pensato di personalizzare ciascuna scatola con delle etichette per riconoscerne il contenuto. 

Sono partita quindi ritagliando del cartoncino al quale ho dato una pennellata di rosa.

A couple of weeks ago I definitively made the change of wardrobe... :-(((
As I put clothes in boxes and as I always have the problem to know what there is inside this or that box, I tought to personalize each box with some labels in order to immediately find out its content. 
I started cutting some cardboard papers and I painted them in pink. 

Ho rivestito l'etichetta con la tecnica del decoupage con tovagliolo in fantasia di rose rosa... 
Come sono romantiche le rose! 
Then I covered them with the towel decoupage technique with a rose roses decoration. 
How roses are romantic, aren't them?!? 

Buon pomeriggio a tutti! 
Ho infine stampato le varie targhette e bordato il tutto con della serpentina bianca. 
Ecco il risultato finale: utile e allo stesso tempo bello...! :-))) 

Finally I printed the different required labels decorating them all around with a white ribbon serpentine. Here there is the final result: useful and beautiful at the same time...! :-)))

SOFFICI CUSCINI...

Ciao! 
Sto postando un pò a rilento e per questo mi scuso... 
Una delle ragioni di ciò è che mi sono decisa a prendere parte ad un mercatino di Natale, tempo permettendo, che si terrà qui nel mio paese e vorrei preparare più articoli possibili. 
Nel frattempo vi mostro i cuscini che ho confezionato per la cameretta delle bambine. 
L'armadiatura è color bianco-avorio con alcuni cassetti e mensole color glicine e rosa, mentre il muro è dipinto con un colore mooolto contrastante... il fucsia! 
Visto il colore dell'arredamento e della trapunta primaverile, ho confezionato questi tre cuscini nei colori fucsia e rosa. 
Il più grosso con la tecnica del patchwork, mentre il più piccolo semplicemente alternando l'interno fucsia e l'esterno con volant nella fantasia a pois.
E per finire un cuscino caramelloso con gli stessi materiali :-) 
Le imbottiture interne le ho create io visto che le varie dimensioni non sono quelle standard in commercio, mentre i rivestimenti esterni decorati sono completamente sfoderabili per un facile lavaggio o "cambio d'abito".

Sorry for posting news a little slowly. A reason for this is that I decided to take part to a Christmas flea market, weather permitting, that will be held in my town and I would like to show as much articles as possible. 
In the meantime I would like to show you some pillows I prepared for my daughters' bedroom. 
Their wardrobes are mainly of an ivory white with some shelves and drawers in pink and Wisteria violet, while walls had been painted in a veeery contrasting colour... the fuchsia one! 
Since the forniture and the spring quilt, I prepared these three pillows in fuchsia and pink colour. 
I made the biggest one with the Patchwork technique, while the smallest one simply alternating the fuchsia wioth the pink polka dots fantasy ruffles. 
And finally a candy pillow with same nuances... :-)
I made by myself the inside paddings as their dimensions are not the standard ones on the market, while the outside decorated coverings are fully removable for an easy wash or "change of clothes".

BIRTHDAY PARTY

Ciao! 

Ormai il freddo inizia a farsi sentire e le giornate anche troppo calde di quest'estate sembrano un lontano ricordo... 

Tuttavia vorrei parlarvi oggi della festa organizzata un giorno di mezz'estate in occasione del compleanno dei miei figli. 

Mi piace molto curare quello che voglio offrire agli invitati come anche il modo con il quale questo viene presentato. 

I colori cardine sono stati il rosa e l'azzurro. 

Ho quindi preparato il tavolo principale con vassoi che richiamassero questi colori e che, tra l'altro, ho trovato con decorazioni di dolcetti, macarons e similari... :-) 

Su questi vassoi ho servito del frullato di fragole in coppe Martini bordate con cristalli di zucchero e fragola decorativa e della crema composta da panna, zucchero e crescenza alternata ad un mix di more e lamponi.

Cold temperature are almost arrived and even too hot days of last summer seem to be a far memory... 

Anyhow, today I would like to talk about the party we organized on a middle summer day for the birthday of my children. 

I like to follow carefully what I am going to offer to my guests, but also how things are proposed. 

The main colours of this birthday party were pink & light blue. 

So I prepared a main table with a couple of trays recalling these colours. I found them also with decorations of sweets, macarons and similars... :-) 

On these trays I served a Strawberry shake in Martini glasses with edges rimmed with sugar crystals and a decorative Strawberry. Then a cream made with whipped cream, sugar, and crescenza (an Italian creamy cheese) separting each layer by mixed Raspberries and Blackberries. 

 

Ho presentato in scatole di latta abbinate dei Marshmallow che piacciono sempre e che allo stesso tempo da un bell'effetto decorativo e nell'altra scatola confetti rosa, azzurri e bianchi. 

Non poteva mancare un fiore per arricchire il tutto e ho quindi posizionato in un angolo l'Orchidea che avevo giusto in casa e che mi ha fatto compagnia coi suoi regali fiori per più di 4 mesi...!!!  

I put in aluminium round boxes some Marshmallow that are always appreciated and in the meantime gave a nice decorative effect. In the other round box I put some pink, light blue and white candies. 

Some flowers could not missing to enrich everything and I placed an Orchidea in a corner of the table. I had it at home and it remained blooming for more than 4 months...!!! 

Per la torta, presentata su alzatina in ceramica, sempre nei colori del tema principale, mi sono cimentata personalmente con la Sugar Art che impazza dalle televisioni, al Web fino alle riviste specializzate. 

io di certo sono alle prime armi, però anche lei ha avuto un bell'impatto visivo... :-) 

In ultimo abbiamo pensato ad un piccolo e semplice cadeau destinato agli invitati confezionando dei confetti in packaging trasparenti con nastri e decorazioni sempre riprendendo i colori prescelti. 

La festa è andata bene e anche i bambini erano molto eccitati visto che hanno partecipato attivamente alle varie preparazioni... ;-)

For the birthday cake, placed on a upstand pottery plate, in the choosen main colours, I tried personally the Sugar Art that is having a lot of followers and professional people through television, Web and specialized magazines. 

I'm surely just a beginner, anyhow my sugar cake had its due success... :-) 

Finally we prepared a little present for our guests packing some candies in clear little packaging with ribbons and decorations in the choosen main colours. 

The party was funny and even my children were a lot excited as they were also participating to the preparations... ;-)
